Opening hours

The opening hours of the wine house are from Monday to Saturday. We accept guests after prior notice or agreement.

For the individual opening of the house, there is a minimum number of 10 people on the Krog offer. In the case of even smaller groups, consumption in the amount of €350 is required.

How to find us

If coming from the direction of Ljubljana:

Take Lendava exit. At the roundabout, take the second exit. Continue to the next roundabout, take the third exit – direction center. You will pass Spar (on the right) and Mercator (on the left) shopping centers. At the next roundabout, take the second exit, and at the next roundabout about 150 meters further, take the third exit – direction center.

Continue on the main road past NLB bank (on the left) and city hall (on the right). You have now arrived at the center of Lendava, where you will see St Catherine catholic church on the right. Immediately after the church, turn right from the main road and start ascending towards Lendavske Gorice. After about 200 meters you will arrive at the junction where you will see a large sign with a map. The main road turns right. Stay on the main road. You will drive uphill past Vinarium watchtower (on the left) up to the highest point of Lendavske Gorice, where Cuk Wine House stands (on the right). There is a car park on the left. You have reached your destination.

If coming from the direction of Dobrovnik:

If you are coming from the direction of Moravske Toplice or Dobrovnik on a regional road, you have to continue all the way to Dolga vas sign. You will reach a roundabout and see a cemetery on the left. Turn right towards Lendava and then immediately left to Lendavske Gorice. You will see a small Mercator shop and a bar at the right. Continue on the main road until getting to the Y junction, where you should keep left. You will pass Vinski hram Rožman.

Follow Piramida signs. Continue on the main road, passing Vinarium watchtower (on the left) up to the highest point of Lendavske Gorice, where Cuk Wine House stands (on the right). There is a car park on your left. You have reached your destination.

If coming from the direction of Pince (Hungary):

Arrive at Lendava. Your navigation will guide you on the shortest route, which is not necessarily the best. Therefore, we advise you to keep to main roads towards Lendavske Gorice!
Stay on the main road until getting to the junction with traffic lights. You will see Spar on the right, and the route to terme on the left. Continue straight through the junction. You will pass an elementary school and playground. Keep to the main road. You will drive past the bottom of a hill and after about 500 meters you will see apartment blocks (on the left). Continue to the junction and at the junction turn right – direction center. Upon reaching a church turn right up the hill. After about 200 meters you will arrive at the junction where you will see a large sign with a map. The main road turns right and the side road continues straight. Stay on the main road. You will drive uphill to the highest point of Lendavske Gorice, where Cuk Wine House stands (on the right). There is a car park on the left. You have reached your destination.

The beginnings of winemaking go back to 1950, when my great grandfather began turning grapes into wine.

When my grandfather took over the winemaking business and the farm, he soon realized that husbandry and farming suit him better than winemaking.

In 1980 my father inherited a small vineyard and realized that he is very fond of winemaking. My grandfather happily gave him his share of the vineyard and my father embarked on his winemaking career.

He began by producing cask wine and selling it to restaurants. He quickly realized that they earn more than him. Therefore he decided to start selling his own wine together with his wife Irena.

The wine quality has been improved, which resulted in smaller quantities.

In 1994 he filled the first bottle of top-quality wine. What followed was a string of top-quality bottled wines, while in 1996 he even created the first selection of Lendavske Gorice.

Permanent wish to create even better wines led to the opening of a wine house in 2000, where boutique sales of wine to domestic and foreign guests began.

Prior to son Peter and daughter Eva completed studies at the higher business school, they began building the second house of wine at the highest point of Lendavske Gorice. While building the house, they planted a vineyard with red grape varieties. In 2005 they completed a tourist facility offering accommodation, guided wine tastings and home-made treats.

In 2010, the business has been taken over by the younger generation. Daughter Eva and her husband Robi continue with marketing the well-established trademark.

Začetki vinogradništva segajo v leto 1950, ko je moj pradedek začel grozdje predelovati v vino. Ko je moj dedek prevzel vinogradništvo in kmetijo, je kaj kmalu ugotovil, da mu živinoreja in poljedelstvo gresta bolje od rok kot vinogradništvo. Leta 1980 je moj oče podedoval manjši vinograd in ugotovil, da ga vinogradništvo zelo veseli. Dedek mu je z veseljem predal tudi svoj del vinograda in tako je moj oče začel svojo vinogradniško kariero.Sprva je prideloval odprta vina in jih prodajal gostilničarjem. Hitro je ugotovil, da ti zaslužijo več kot on sam. Zato se je odločil, da bosta skupaj z ženo Ireno začela sama prodajati vina.

Sledil je dvig kakovosti vina, kar je imelo za posledico manjše količine vina.Leta 1994 je napolnil prvo steklenico vrhunskega vina. Sledil je niz vrhunskih ustekleničenih vin, leta 1996 pa je naredil celo prvi izbor Lendavskih Goric.Nenehna želja po še boljših vinih je pripeljala do odprtja hiše vina leta 2000, kjer se je začela butična prodaja vin domačim in tujim gostom.

Še preden sta sin Peter in hči Eva dokončala šolanje na visoki šoli za podjetništvo, so začeli z izgradnjo druge hiše vina na najvišji točki Lendavskih Goric. Sočasno z izgradnjo je potekala zasaditev vinograda z rdečimi sortami grozdja. Leta 2005 so dokončali turistični objekt, kjer gostom ponujajo nastanitve, vodene pokušine vin in domače dobrote.

Tako je leta 2010 vajeti prevzela mlajša generacija. Hči Eva in njen mož Robi nadaljujeta trženje že ustaljene blagovne znamke.
